Santa Ana is about to burst with bubbles

Residents in Santa Ana and the rest of Orange County are getting ready for the 20th Annual Bubblefest.

Sponsored by Discovery Cube, the event combines education and soapy fun aimed at pleasing both children and adults.

The Bubblefest is comprised of two different parts: the normal Bubblefest and the Mega Bubblefest Laser Show. The latter is an exciting stage performance that combines lasers, music, and bubble artistry for a visual treat lasting around 35 to 40 minutes.

The Bubblefest itself is a combination of a bubble zone, interactive water spheres, and other bubble-based educational activities. The educational section has bubble activities appropriate for all age groups, including an Early Learners area for visitors aged five and under.

The attraction is one of the most popular at the Discovery Cube museum. The two-week long program features four laser shows a day that frequently sell out. People looking to attend are advised to buy tickets in advance, even though they are available at the door.

Bubblefest 20 will take place from March 26 to April 10 at the Discovery Cube, located at 2500 N. Main St in Santa Ana. Tickets are $7 in advance or $10 on the day, with a VIP upgrade available for $15. General admission to the museum must also be purchased.
