Santa Ana hosts fair for community aid

The Rancho Santiago Community College District is putting together a special event for members of the Santa Ana community. The Community Resource Fair is a combination of fun events and helpful information aimed at enabling families to get the support they need to thrive.

The focus of the fair will be on families with children from birth to adolescence. Tons of information will be available on the community resources and programs available for them to have as many opportunities for success and support as possible. Brochures are likely to be available to give parents something to take home, but presentations and resource booths will also give a wide variety of sources for visitors to learn from.

The fair is more than just about learning, however. Different games and activities will be provided to ensure that the day is also about fun. Entertainment like music and performances will take place on the stage while families engage in hands-on activities and crafts. A raffle will also be held where participants can buy tickets to win cool prizes. The event is put together by Rancho Santiago Community College District Childhood Development Services, an organization that runs five child development centers in the area.

The Community Resource Fair will be held on June 25 from 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at Santa Ana College, located at 1530 W. 17th St. Admission and parking for the event is free to public. Anyone interested in more information is encouraged to contact RSCCD Child Development Services directly.
