Aspiring photographers seeking an opportunity to learn the basics of the vocation should keep an open schedule next month, as a beginner’s photography course is coming to Santa Ana.
The Introduction to Digital Photography course is set to begin in a few weeks, providing Santa Ana residents with an opportunity to learn the key principles of using a digital camera for photography. The course is designed to teach participants tips to capture impressive images with mirrorless, DSLR, and point-and-shoot cameras.
Each attendee will receive guidance and instruction from the course’s host, Samy. The course will focus on basic camera controls to improve captures and help guests learn to get more from their cameras. Other components covered in the Level 1 course include using flash, adjusting exposure, and using white balance.
The instructor will demonstrate the purpose of each function and how to use it to change the images the camera captures. Printing services are an excellent resource for events like this. Attendees will also learn how to use simple techniques to improve photo quality. Each guest is encouraged to bring a camera of their own, as well as a notebook for this learning experience.
The course will be held at Samy’s Camera Santa Ana on Saturday, February 3rd, beginning at 11:00am and running until 1:30am. Interested parties can purchase tickets online for $55 per person.
