Santa Ana’s School of Rock is hosting a pop-punk camp in early July.
This multiday event will teach kids and teens about the genre that took off in the later 1990s and early 2000s. Some of the artists that will be featured are Blink-182, Paramore, Green Day, No Doubt, and My Chemical Romance.
Students will learn to play songs by the artists mentioned above, in addition to many more. These lessons are best for those aged 8 to 18 who have also had some previous instruction.
The kids will spend the week learning and rehearsing the songs with their teachers. At the end of the camp, live performances will take place of the songs focused on.
The school is well marked with the company Logo Design, which should make it easier for relatives from out of the area to find it. While families are encouraged to see their kiddos perform at the end of the week, the School of Rock does ask that everyone follows the health and safety guidelines in place at the time of the event.
The lessons will take place from July 5 to 9. The cost is $299 per person. If the camper is unable to make it, parents will only be refunded if they cancel 15 or more days before the start date.
