Plans in place for milestone Santa Ana event

The Santa Ana Historic Street Breakfast is coming round again. Before the end of the month, residents, neighbors, friends, and visitors will be gathering around to celebrate the city’s 150th birthday.

The city is no stranger to the event, which has annually been observed as a civic tradition since 1928, but this year’s gathering promises to be particularly special with lots of exciting features in store, such as loteria games, live music and dancing, special guests and speeches, a group photo, historic re-enactments, micheladas, display of Santa Ana merchandise, arts and crafts, vegan migas, pancakes, and chilaquiles.

The main idea is to organize an epic community-building event that will bring the whole of Santa Ana together. According to the event organizers, Santa Ana Breakfast Club, participants will have the chance to meet town founder William Spurgeon.

This year’s celebration is sponsored by the Santa Ana Business Council, Downtown Inc., and the City of Santa Ana. Tickets are available for $10. Prospective attendees are expected to buy their tickets online before the event. Participants are advised to arrive with kiddie chairs, strollers or blankets to pitch on the lawn so that table seating can be reserved for diners.

Poster printing can help to make more people aware of events like this one, which is to be held on Sunday, July 28.
