This year, the Bowers Museum is offering special activities to help Santa Ana celebrate Mother’s Day. These events are food and fashion related primarily, and feature a special brunch, entrance to a special exhibit, and a movie screening.
The first activity of the day is brunch at the Tangata Restaurant, which is attached to the Bowers Museum. The restaurant is award-winning, and serves food daily. The Mother’s Day brunch will be set up buffet-style and will be serving a variety of options, from salads and fruit, to waffles, to steak and roasted chicken. Tickets for this are currently available, and are $59 for adults, or $32 for children 12 and under.
The galleries of ‘Guo Pei: Couture Beyond’ will be open as well. Entrance to this special exhibit will be free for mothers and members. This exhibit is showcasing the work of Guo Pei, featuring more than 40 works from her various fashion shows. Tickets to this exhibit will be $5 for those who also purchased the Mother’s Day brunch at Tangata.
The final activity of the day will be a special screening of ‘Yellow is Forbidden’. This will also be free for mothers; members, those who purchased Tangata’s brunch, or purchased general admission to the museum will pay $15 for the movie. Tickets to the movie alone are $20.
Events like this often benefit from printing services – they could have Flyers available for museum guests to take home, or they may take out ad space in papers or magazines. This event is set for Mother’s Day, May 12. Times vary depending on the activity.
