Event to immerse audience in educational tale

Santa Ana kids can see the hosts of a popular program take on a new story right in front of them with an early March show.

Wild Kratts Live! 2.0 is a stage version of the hit show from PBS KIDS. Hosts and actual brothers Martin and Chris Kratt are headed out on the “creature trail.” They hope to use new “Creature Powers” and share their knowledge about the animals around them. However, a villain has different plans. The pair will need help from the crew at Tortuga HQ, who will be shown to the crowd in an animated form on a screen. Actors also take part in the performance in costume as various critters, allowing for a blend of live and digital art.

The Kratt brothers can back up their knowledge of creatures and the outdoors with credentials. Chris is an ecologist, while Martin has a zoology degree.

Tickets are sold for the two performances on Ticketmaster. The 1:00 pm matinee has ticket prices from $100 to $249. The 4:30 pm show is priced between $76 and $175. Both editions have limited availability at the time of writing. Attendees can head to the City National Grove of Anaheim for both performances. Live versions of popular productions commonly travel with merchandise showcasing a graphic design of the main characters to sell at each location.

The adventure takes place on Saturday, March 9.
