This July, Lynn Kleiner’s Music Rhapsody will be hosting a special music-centered summer camp for Redondo Beach kids.
Music Rhapsody is an early childhood music education program that helps schools incorporate music education into their curriculum. It also frequently holds workshops and camps focused on music education, one of which is the upcoming Redondo Beach Summer Music Day Camp.
Designed for grades K-8, the summer camp will provide students with a variety of musical activities to inspire a love of music and improve musical skills. Children will be able to play around with unique instruments like glockenspiels, marimbas, and metallophones. There will also be guitar, recorder, piano, and ukulele lessons offered.
Experienced instructors will teach the fundamentals of dance and movement, as well as singing and musical theater. Music games will also be incorporated as a fun way to learn musical theory. At the end of the camp, students will use what they learn to put on their own concert.
The Music Rhapsody Summer Music Day Camp is scheduled for July 26 through July 30, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day. The location has yet to be determined. Tickets can be purchased for $399 on Music Rhapsody’s website.
