Saturday Sweeps is happening again this November in Redondo Beach, providing residents and visitors with the opportunity to help care for the Redondo Beach Esplanade.
The volunteer cleanup event allows community members to work alongside one another during an easy-going morning by the sea. Keep the Esplanade Beautiful (KEB) hosts Saturday Sweeps each year, providing neighbors with an accessible opportunity to show their support for continued maintenance along the picturesque corridor. During the morning, locals can pick up trash and spruce up the beachfront, while enjoying the outdoors.
KEB shares educational materials, works with local partners, and invites residents and visitors to activities that support the Esplanade’s beauty and long‑term health.
Showing up with reusable gloves and a refillable water bottle can make cleaning easier on participants. In addition, volunteers who arrive early can meet other volunteers and organizers, learn about the route, and receive the day’s assignments.
For events like these, organizers often rely on poster printing to publicize them and encourage more residents to participate. Printed material helps enhance visibility along busy walkways, where passersby can quickly spot upcoming community activities.
Many volunteers are likely to take time after the clean-up to walk along the beach or grab a coffee. This installment of Saturday Sweeps will be on November 7 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Avenue I, Redondo Beach.
