The 33rd Annual 5K Run/Community Walk will take place in July at Redondo Beach.
Hosted by Village Runner, this year's event is sponsored by several prominent organizations, including GMC, Cadillac, and UCLA Health.
This year's race will be part of the area’s Fourth of July celebrations, providing participants of all ages with an opportunity to come together for racing, walking, and family-friendly festivities. Winners of the 5K run will receive cash prizes of $200 for first place, $125 for second place, and $75 for third place. All children participating in the race will also receive participation medals of their own.
The event will also feature a costume contest. Prizes will be awarded to the first-, second-, and third-place costume contest winners. Following the race, participants can attend an after-party at HD Grill. The Village Runner Independence Day celebration also supports the Redondo Beach Education Foundation and various local schools; therefore, a portion of each registration fee will be donated to these causes.
Along with bib printing for participants, banner and poster printing are common for events of this nature.
The event will take place on July 4 in Redondo Beach, CA. The Community Walk begins at 8:00 a.m., and the Kid's Dash starts at 9:20 a.m. Late registration opens at 6:30 a.m. Additional registration information is available on Village Runner's official website.
