Redondo Beach to enjoy Super Bowl run

This February Redondo Beach will hold the Super Bowl Sunday 10K/5K event for anyone wanting a fun, healthy activity to do before the big game.

More than 8,000 participants are expected to attend the Super Bowl running event, which will be celebrating its 44th anniversary. Runners will enjoy running either a 5K route or 10K route, both of which will present scenic views of some of Redondo Beach’s most picturesque sites, such as the Redondo Beach Historic Pier, the Pacific Ocean, the Wyland whale mural, and the Marina in King Harbor. There will also be a special Baby Buggy 10K where parents can run with their babies in strollers. Everyone is also encouraged to run in costume as there will be a costume contest presented by King Harbor Association.

Race registration perks will include a custom race shirt with the event Logo Design, a finisher medal, awards for the top three female and male finishers in each category, access to the Michelob Ultra Post Race Hospitality Area, and post-race food and drinks. Registration will also give access to the two-day health expo before the race.

The Super Bowl Sunday 10K/5K is slated for February 13. The race starting location is located on 200 Portofino Way, Redondo Beach. The regular 10K, the Baby Buggy 10K, and the 5K are all $45 to register.
