Redondo Beach prepares for football-themed run

To celebrate the arrival of the biggest game in football, Redondo Beach will hold its annual tradition of the Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday Race this February.

For 46 years and running, the race event has featured a 5K run/walk and 10K run hosted in honor of the final game of the NFL postseason. For its 47th edition, it will draw over 8,000 racing participants to the heart of Redondo Beach to enjoy the temperate weather and refreshing sea breezes as they race through the scenic pathways. The race path will traverse the Redondo Beach Pier along the Pacific Ocean, the Wyland Whale Mural, and the Marina at King Harbor.

Organizers welcome runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to participate. There will even be a stroller walk for parents and a Kids 1K Fun Run. Proceeds raised from race fees will go towards Redondo Beach Chamber programs that benefit local businesses.

The start and finish lines of race events like this are often decorated with expansive Banners with the event’s name or theme on them. Local Print shops specializing in banner printing can help organizers prepare these materials in advance of the event.

The Redondo Beach Super Bowl Run will take place on February 9, beginning with the 10K run at 7:30 am. The start and finish line will be at 200 Portofino Way.
