Local handweavers guild to host weaving festival

This May, The Southern California Handweavers' Guild (SCHG) will hold the Weaving & Fiber Arts Festival (WeFF) in Torrance just outside of Redondo Beach.

The event will feature premier fiber arts vendors selling luxurious yarns and gear. In the members’ boutique, items such as handwoven placemats, scarves, and towels will be available for purchase.

A section of the festival will also be devoted to a Weftovers sale where bargains on equipment, yarn, and Books can be found. Artisans will be on hand to give demonstrations on several different kinds of looms. Attendees will also enjoy a variety of workshops, such as twinning baskets, upcycling, and creating mosaic scarves, for an additional fee.

Craft-related events like this often advertise through Posters that can be hung in locations such as libraries and community centers. To Print these, organizers may seek out local poster printing services.

The festival is scheduled for May 1 from 10 am to 4 pm. It will take place at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center on 3330 Civic Center Drive, Torrance, just 3 miles from Redondo Beach. Admission is free.
