Oaklands newest shopping district set to welcome the world

A stretch of Oakland’s 13th Street is one of the community’s newest shopping districts, and the public is welcome to stop by a celebration that has been planned to help introduce it to the world.

The 13th Street Commons will be a one block stretch that offers lots to local residents and visitors alike. It is home to eateries, bars and other small businesses, and a block party style event will give them all a chance to shine.

The planners of the celebration have created a family friendly activity that will include live music as well as a variety of vendors. There will be offerings just for the kids, and wine, beer and other cocktails will all be available. The goal is to show what makes 134th Street Commons a popular community gathering place, and all of Oakland is encouraged to come out and show support to their local businesses.

When a city creates a new retail hub, a Logo Design prepared can be presented to the community during a large event like this, and can be an important part of raising public awareness.

The 13th Street Block Party will be kicking off Oakland’s newest shopping district on April 4. The fun is scheduled to start at 12:00 pm, and will be held between Broadway and Franklin Streets.
