Oakland Zoo seeking new sets of helping hands

Working with animals is a dream volunteer position for many, and an Oakland institution might just be able to make it a reality.

Noting that it depends upon the generosity of its dedicated volunteers, Oakland Zoo has announced it is on the lookout for some new additions to the team. Those who have signed on will be able to participate in a New Volunteer Information Meeting this winter, and it will provide an orientation to the duties, responsibilities, and perks that come with the position.

The three-hour long session is intended for adults, and before they will be permitted to register, they will need to submit a completed volunteer application to the zoo. There are many opportunities on offer, and those who are interested can choose the sort of work that's the best fit for them. During the function the attendees will be able to ask questions and get their volunteer life off to a flying start.
