Oakland venue offers family Easter fun
An Oakland venue that has become a local family favorite has scheduled a weekend of Easter excitement, and it will be filled with hands-on fun for parents and children alike.
Fairyland has set the date for its Bunny Weekend, and it is hoping it will have everyone hopping with “eggcitement”. Many of the activities will take place outdoors, and the agenda runs from the morning to mid-afternoon.
Both days will open with the Fairyland Eggs-Change, which will see children searching for decorated wooden eggs they can redeem for a prize. An arts and craft station will provide a chance to make a flower crown, and a flower-themed scavenger hunt will introduce the attendees to the joys of wildflowers.
Live performances and cookie decorating will round out the festivities, and the event is geared towards children from the ages of 1 to 10. Signs will be posted that indicate which areas are off limits to the egg hunters.
