One of Oakland's popular shopping districts has a schedule of fun in the works for the holiday season, including an offering that will welcome the young and the young at heart.
The Temescal Telegraph District recently released the news that the Temescal Holiday Fair: Creators & Critters is right around the corner. It will be a celebration of local creative talents, and there will be some furry and feathery friends on site as well.
The fair will feature a vendor market that showcases everything from art to textiles, skincare products and accessories, jewelry, sculptures, and more. Many of the makers will be on hand, and the public can meet them.
Along with the shopping area, the celebration will include a petting zoo. Here, adults and kids alike can meet a variety of farm animals, and there will be plenty of photo ops to be had. Entry to this activity will be free of charge.
A pop-up market may prove to be a valuable sales opportunity for an artist or artisan. If they have a stack of Business Cards, packing materials, promotional Pens, and other marketing materials on hand, they will be prepared to take advantage of a sales opportunity when it arises.
This year's Temescal Holiday Fair will bring the fun to Oakland on Friday, December 8, running from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. It will be held at 49th and Telegraph Avenue.
