Oakland to celebrate food service community

Oakland foodies may want to loosen their belts for a week that will celebrate the culinary talent that can be found in the local community.

Oakland Restaurant Week will be showcasing the city’s food service providers, and eateries ranging from casual to fine dining will be taking part. Food trucks, brick-and-mortar establishments, and pop-up kiosks have all been invited to join the fun, and it will offer a chance to show these small businesses lots of love.

There are a variety of ways for the public to get involved in the activities, which actually run for a little longer than a week. These include dining in, take out, and curbside pickup. Those who are interested can choose from cuisine from all over the world, and many of the participating establishments will have special dishes and even whole Menus prepared for the occasion.
