An Oakland initiative is offering the opportunity for families to get outside and enjoy some summer fun together.
The Little Yough Family Flicks summer movie series has installments planned up until late August, and each of the films will be suitable for everyone, including families with younger kids. Each will be sponsored by a local business.
The movies are being shown outdoors on the 24-foot screen, and everyone is encouraged to bring either a folding chair or blanket so they will be able to sit back, kick off their shoes, and relax. They may want to fill a basket or cooler with their favorite picnic foods, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Each film night is taking place in the Oakland Town Parking Lot’s Mountain Fresh Pavilion. They will be screened rain or shine, and most will begin at 7:00 pm. Anyone who has questions has been asked to call 301-334-2691.
When promoting an activity to the general public, organizers often turn to poster printing companies. They will be able to prepare these marketing materials in a huge selection of styles and sizes.
These free family-friendly movies will welcome one and all, and a complete schedule of the titles can be found here. There is a screening of Jurassic Park: World Dominion tonight and next Wednesday’s film is The Bad Guys. The series is set to wrap up on August 18.
