This December will kick off with an activity that may be a welcome sight for Oakland’s harried gift buyers.
The corner of Temescal Alley and 49th Street will be the venue for a family-friendly seasonal celebration, and many local small businesses have already added their name to the list of vendors. It is being brought to the community thanks to the efforts of the Temescal Telegraph Hill Business Improvement District (BID), and both humans and pets are welcome
The fair will take place outdoors in the fresh air, and admission is free. Health and safety measures will be in place, and at least 50 companies will be in attendance. Both new and handmade items will be in the mix, and those who enjoy finding vintage treasures will also have plenty to look through. Live music and food will round out the festivities.
Makers markets give a community’s artisans and crafters a venue where they can connect with the public. These events may benefit from the expertise of a printing services company, which can supply everything from Banners to table drapes.
The Head West Holiday tweed market will be showcasing Oakland’s creative side on December 4 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. More information for both the general public and anyone who is interested in signing on as a vendor can do so on the Head West Market website.
