Truffles have come to be associated with gourmet food and luxurious lifestyles, and an Oakland festival will be putting these popular fungi front and center in just over a week.
Market Hall Foods sources freshly foraged truffles from both Italy and France, and it has organized its first ever Truffle Fest for the fungi-loving public. It will be on offer in Rockridge Market Hall, and it will be open for one day only.
Attendees will be able to purchase both truffles and other culinary mushrooms for their own home kitchen, and there will be an assortment of dishes to sample. Truffled salami will be on the menu, and those with a sweet tooth can head to the area where artisan-made chocolate truffle confections will be on offer. Those age 21 and up can sample wine pairings. The foodie-friendly fun will wrap up with a raffle draw.
Festivals can highlight a particular cause, food, or industry, and they may attract a lot of public attention. A poster printing company can play a role in their success by preparing effective marketing materials that offer a high return on investment, and can craft a logo for a function as well.
Oakland will be welcoming its first Truffle Fest on Saturday, February 8. It will run from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm at 5655 College Avenue.
