Oakland event to showcase cool and sustainable summer cocktails

The Oakland farmers’ market is a popular local source for fresh fruit and veggies, and the public has been invited to come to an event that will see these ingredients transformed into a variety of cocktails and other drinks.

This will be the second year in which the United States Bartenders Guild and CUSEA will be partnering in Jack London Square to host ‘Party Under the Palms’. Guests will be able to sample a wide assortment of cocktails that feature seasonal fruit and vegetables while they enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with friends old and new.

Each ticket holder will receive four full-sized cocktails that will be specially crafted for the occasion as well as unlimited pours of sample drinks. Food will be available for purchase from any of the food trucks and other vendors that will be on site, and there will also be an opportunity to learn more about sustainable food systems and how they can help to ensure their success in the local area.

General admission tickets to be included in the fun start at $45.00 each, and the festivities will begin at 5:30 pm. Banner printing services for this type of celebration can be sourced from an area printer.

This event, which will highlight the wealth of possibilities that can be found at the farmers’ market, will be held on August 1. It is open to anyone age 21 and over.
