An Oakland venue will be celebrating the holiday season with a gathering that will showcase its small businesses.
The third annual Open House at the Ferry Building is fast approaching, offering two hours of socializing, shopping and sampling. The Awesome Orchestra Jazz Band will provide the music for the occasion.
A wine tasting passport is new for the 2024 lineup, and various wineries will be represented. This portion of the activity is on offer courtesy of Napa Valley Vinters. As well as the opportunity to patronize the venue’s shops and services, there will be a professional photographer on hand to take holiday portraits, and a selfie station is also in the works. The stores will be decorated in their holiday best, and everyone who spends at least $50 will be invited to enjoy the excitement of spinning the prize wheel.
To encourage its shops and services to really get into the spirit of the season, a decor competition has been planned. The public can view the entries and vote for their favorite. Those who purchased their tickets through Eventbrite will be able to show their RSVP to receive an ornament to keep. Special event keepsakes for any activity may be ordered from a company that crafts customized Corporate Gifts.
Wednesday, December 11 will see the Ferry Building host this festive celebration. It will run from 5:40 pm until 7:30 pm.
