Physical, developmental, and intellectual challenges need not be a barrier to what a person can offer any workplace, and during an Oakland event, employers will be able to see for themselves the benefits of adding them to their staff.
During the Disability Employment Awareness Conference & Training, which is being hosted by Almeda County, managers, supervisors, human resource professionals, and others can learn more about how they can make their workplace as inclusive as possible. They will have an opportunity to learn about the benefits of hiring people with disabilities, and also how to attract them to their company.
The conference is being held at the Hilton Oakland Airport, and the registration fee for employees of Alemda County and the CA Department of Rehabilitation has been set at $45 each. The registration fee for others who are interested in taking part will be $75. Onsite parking and the Hilton Shuttle Servic, which is wheelchair friendly, is available for anyone who needs it. Banner printing can be utilized to create Banners and other large sized themed decorations for an event like this.
October 5 has been chosen as the date for this event, and it will run from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm. Anyone who is interested in taking part is asked to register ahead of time through the conference’s website, which contains further details about the conference.
