On New Year’s Eve, Oakland residents will be among the crowd who set sail for an evening of elegance aboard the USS Hornet.
The ship, which is docked at the Sea, Air and Space Museum in Almeda, will be the venue for a special soiree that will bid a fond farewell to 2022. The function will serve as a fundraiser for the institution, and everyone will be able to explore the air carrier and learn about how it operated around the world.
The festivities that will mark the occasion will include a midnight countdown, and both food and cash bar concessions will be set up. A silent auction will allow the guests to bid on an assortment of experiences and special Corporate Gifts , and parking will be at no charge. The suggested dress for the occasion is black tie optional. Tickets start at $65, and there are different types to choose from.
