Oakland area artists have come together to lend a helping hand to Meals on Wheels, a grassroots organization ensuring seniors and those living with health or mobility issues have enough nutritious food.
The Almanac Beer Company, which can be found at 651B West Tower Avenue in Alameda, has reserved an upcoming weekend for its Spring Pottery and Art Sale, which will raise money for the area’s Meals on Wheels program. The 25 participating artists have each donated their work to the event, and all of the proceeds will be donated to the cause.
Those who stop by the brewery will be able to relax in the venue's beer garden, and a variety of art - including pottery and jewellery – will be on offer. There will be many unique items available, some of which are sure to be novel Mother’s Day gifts. When they have finished their shopping, the guests can enjoy one of the beers brewed on site.
Not-for-profit fundraisers like this tend to benefit from being heavily promoted. A printing services company will have a variety of ways to do this without breaking the bank.
This weekend of friends, beer and locally crafted art has been planned for Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1. Anyone who would like to participate is welcome to stop by.
