The Relay for Life will take place in Oakland this summer.
The Northern California event celebrates cancer survivors while remembering their loved ones. The event is a 24-hour relay walk that will take place overnight with the purpose of fundraising for the American Cancer Society.
The Society provides free programs and services for cancer patients, as well as their families. It also runs research and education for individuals on keeping healthy.
Poster printing is a common effort in creating Forms of communication to the public. As the Posters can be hung on most flat surfaces indoors and outside, many people will have the opportunity to read the information.
The opening ceremony kicks off at 9:00 a.m. on July 19 with an inspiring round-up of survivors and supporters celebrating a battle won. The event hopes to inspire others to remain positive and continue with strong progress.
A Survivors’ Lap will begin at 9:30 am with fun music. As the survivors take a circuit around the track, spectators, friends and family will be on-hand to cheer them on.
Lastly, a Luminaria Ceremony is scheduled for 8:00 pm and is a time to remember those loved ones lost to cancer. This is designed to help people to draw strength from one another and supporters.
The Relay for Life in Oakland takes place July 19 - 20 at the Oakland Technical High School on Broadway. More information can be found on the American Cancer Society website.Get a Free Quote for Forms Get a Free Quote for Posters
