Childrens cinnamon roll class held in Monrovia
The Sauté Culinary Academy in Monrovia is hosting a children’s class on cooking cinnamon rolls this September.
The one-hour-and-30-minute class is fully interactive, teaching children ages 6-12 how to make cinnamon rolls from scratch. With an experienced instructor at the helm, the children will be guided on everything from creating the cinnamon sugar filling to mixing and rolling out the dough.
Before its global reign as a confectionery in the 21st Century, the first pastry that resembled the cinnamon rolls we know of today likely originated in Greece before becoming popular throughout Europe in the Middle Ages.
It is part of the Sauté Culinary Academy’s mission to teach people the foundational skills of cooking, no matter what the type of food or skill level. Through hands-on learning and simple recipes to follow, the well-equipped facility aims to turn participants into time-saving and skilled chefs in their own kitchen. The organization is led by Chef Alexander Reyes, a professional with over 25 years of cooking experience and multiple educational degrees in the field.
The children’s cinnamon roll class starts at $45 and tickets can be purchased online.
Cooking classes like this may choose to use stationery printers for recipe lists, instructional sheets and program guides.
The Kids’ Cinnamon Roll Class is happening on September 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Sauté Culinary Academy at 150 E. Colorado Blvd in Monrovia.
