A classic tale of love and romance is coming to Laguna Niguel in a way few will have heard before.
The Lyric Opera of Orange County is presenting Cinderella, sung by professional opera singers and accompanied by a small orchestra.
The 90-minute musical show tells the story of the young Cinderella (Leeza Yorke) who is destined to meet and fall in love with her Prince Charming (Luke Norvell), despite attempts to thwart her journey by her wicked stepsisters.
The opera is sung in English with a cast of 15 people. It is a family friendly show recommended for people of all ages. The opera was composed by Pauline Viardot, an influential French singer and a leading female composer of 19th-Century Europe.
Tickets are $15 presale, or $20 at the door. Doors open one hour before the performance.

The Lyric Opera of Orange County's performance of Cinderella takes place on Friday, February 21 at 8:00 pm; Saturday, February 22 at 7:00 pm; and a matinee performance on Sunday, February 23 at 3:00 pm at the Sea County Senior and Community Center, 24602 Aliso Creek Road in Laguna Niguel.
