Mission in Motion is holding a 5K and a 10K FunRun in Laguna Niguel to raise money for the St. Vincent de Paul Society and Mission Within Reach. This will be a chip-timed race.
Additionally, a 1K Run/Walk for kids will take place. The race will be followed by a block party, complete with all the trimmings.
The run/walks will take place in the Laguna Niguel Regional Park and will circumvent the park's scenic lake, giving those who participate an idyllic setting in which to run or walk. The block party following the races will be full of family fun activities, inter-active booths, live entertainment, and food.
This event takes place this Sunday, May 18, with festivities lasting until 1:00 pm. Check-in is at 6:00 am on the day of the event at Mission Lutheran Church, across from the park. The 10K starts at 7:00 am, 5K at 8:00 am, and the kids’ 1K at 9:00 am. The awards ceremonies will take place at 9:30 am and the party starts at 10:00 am.
Participants can pick up their packets at Road Runner Sports in Laguna Hills from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm this Saturday, May 17.
