A community car show will be held in Laguna Niguel at the Golden Lantern.
The Laguna Heights Marketplace Car Show is a family-friendly event where people can view several types of vehicles. There are many categories for participants to enter, such as Pre & Post War Cars & Trucks, Special Interest Vehicles, and Dragsters & Funny Cars. The grand prize for the event is a trophy and cash award of $100. Altogether, 10 other Best of Show trophies will be given out during the program. Other activities at the event include visiting a balloon artist and entering a raffle.
The guest host of the car show will be Bob Beck, an experienced announcer who hosts the Great American Auto Scene and is a co-host on Talking About Cars. He is also a representative of the Automobile Club of Southern California and works as a writer for Rodding USA. Beck went to school at Los Angeles Valley College and was a tradeshow manager for General Motors Isuzu Commercial Trucks for ten years.
The car show will be on Saturday, July 8 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Car owners who want to feature their vehicles at the marketplace may pay $15. The venue can only display up to 120 cars during the event. Those in charge of auto shows similar to this may use poster printing to market their programs to local car owners.
