The City of Laguna Niguel will hold a community parade in December with several volunteer opportunities.
The Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade is a seasonal activity where people can gather to watch festive floats and local celebrities march throughout the city. The theme for 2023’s parade is Holly Jolly Holidays. Many groups participate in the event, such as active and retired military members, car clubs, and youth groups. Past celebrity guests for the parade include Eric Roberts, Michael James Ryan, and Tommy Hobson. The organizers expect more than 10,000 people to attend this year’s parade.
There are many volunteer positions that people can fill for the event. The organizers need volunteers to help parade participants in the staging area, and they want pacers to join the event to control the parade flow. Other roles include announcer spotters, program distributors, and check-in helpers. All volunteers must attend a meeting on November 30th at the Crown Valley Community Center. Only those who are 13 and older can help at the parade.
The holiday parade will be on Saturday, December 9 at 10:00am. There is no cost or registration requirement for people to spectate the event. The route of the parade will be on the Crown Valley Parkway. Communities that put together festive activities such as this may use banner printing to create barriers for their events that double as advertising spaces.
