Hosted by the City of Laguna Niguel, a special event involving four-legged animals has been planned. Meet and Greet the Goats will take place at Crown Valley Park in a few weeks.
The Orange County Fire Authority will be present at the event to provide education and information regarding fire safety and prevention. While attending the presentation, visitors will have the opportunity to mingle with the goats with up close and personal activity. The goats are socialized and friendly and enjoy the interaction with humans. Experts report goats have a calming effect on people and are often used for therapeutic purposes.
The City of Laguna Niguel works contractually with Sage Environmental Group. This group has goats eat the vegetation across local hillsides and valleys, which helps with preventing fires. The fire professionals will talk about mitigating the risk of fire at home by properly handling vegetation such as weeds, bushes, and other thick foliage.
Brochures are often handed out at public events with information made available for future reference. Brochure printing is handled by local Print shops and can include images, content, and contact information.
The City of Niguel Meet the Goats event will take place on Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. A spot must be reserved in advance and may be done online, or by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at 949-425-5100.
