Following approval by the Laguna Niguel Planning Commission on March 10, Left Coast CrossFit has changed its location from Laguna Hills to 28062 Forbes Road, Laguna Niguel.
At its new location, Left Coast CrossFit provides training classes in the high-intensity exercise known as CrossFit, primarily in the mornings and evenings. Instructors work with up to 15 students per class. Armed with newly printed digital Business Cards, instructors could succeed in maximizing their class sizes and increasing the number of classes offered.
Prior to giving its approval, the commission had to make a minor parking adjustment. The fitness center's proposed location was in an office complex that had 28 parking spaces, whereas the addition of the fitness center would have changed the number required to 31.
Jeff Gibson, community development director, pointed out that the building CrossFit wished to use had been vacant “quite often” and that tenants had been difficult to find. After an onsite parking observations determined that adequate parking was available even with the addition of the new gym, a “precise mix-of-uses” exemption was established to account for the deficit in spaces.
The only other concern addressed before approval was granted was to do with noise pollution. Applicant Joe Thompson informed the commission that he would be installing rubber flooring to reduce the noise and that classes would be mostly in the mornings and evenings.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
