Laguna Niguel residents are encouraged to give their homes an exterior makeover this July 4, with some Star - Spangled Banner home décor.
The City is looking for creative and spectacular entries in its annual 4th of July Home Decorating Contest.
The contest has become a popular event every year where homeowners can display their patriotism and help the community celebrate Independence Day.
Categories include 4th of July Extravaganza, judged on the best patriotic theme, and Bold and Bright, which is judged on fun and color. Condominiums and townhouses can also participate.
Winners will have a yard sign displayed outside their homes and will have their location shared on an online map of winners. Organizers of contests such as this can get professionally printed winning Yard Signs created and made at local Print shops. Entrants must ensure their displays are available to be seen by the public during the designated viewing times.
The home decoration contest is one of several events taking place in Laguna Niguel during Independence Day week. There is also a bicycle-decorating contest, which bike owners can dress-up their two-wheelers and post a picture of their bikes on Instagram.
Residents and visitors who wish to view the winning homes can do so between Wednesday, July 1 and Saturday, July 4 between the hours of 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.
