Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade turns 30

A holiday spectacle that draws visitors by the thousands to Laguna Niguel is turning 30 this year. The Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade intends to celebrate the milestone in style.

The parade boasts more than 100 entries. Marching bands, colorful floats, celebrity guests, horses and exotic cars, the military, and other local heroes will take to the streets to spread Christmas cheer. Of course, Santa Claus, who is the parade's main attraction, is the main celebrity children will want to see.

Attendees are asked to bring their own chairs and arrive early to get a good view of the display. There is also a free shuttle visitors can take from the Federal Building off El Lazo/Dorine.

Past Grand Marshals have included television actor Alana Thicke, basketball superstar Magic Johnson, athlete Bruce Jenner and Mickey Mouse.

This year's Grand Marshall has not been announced, but the 2019 parade will have 113 units and almost 3,000 participants, and is estimated at more than 2,000 feet in length.

Parades would not be the same without Banners, and Print shops can provide high-quality banner printing for any organization wanting a professional display that will stand out in a parade.

The Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade takes place Saturday, December 14 at 10:00 am. The parade route is on Crown Valley Parkway between Crown Valley Community Park and Nueva Vista. The parade takes place rain or shine.
