Skateboarders in Laguna Niguel will get to strut their stuff in their wildest, scariest costumes this Halloween season in a special skate event.
Haunted Skate is an annual event where skateboarders perform while decked out in Halloween costumes. The event is free for anyone who wants to watch and takes place at the Laguna Niguel Skate Park.
The event is much more than a skate contest. There is food and games and giveaways and prizes – and a prize for the best costume.
The Laguna Niguel Skate Park is a 20,000 square-foot skateboard park operated by the City of Laguna Niguel. It features areas for all skill-levels. Park rules dictate that before entering the park, skaters have their parents or legal guardian sign a waiver form in person at the park, and all skaters must wear helmets, kneepads, and elbow pads.
In order to participate in the Haunted Skate, skaters must pay a fee. Skate park members pay $20, and non-members pay $30.
