An annual golf tournament hopes to raise thousands of dollars for two local charities, and the call is out for local businesses to step up to the tee box with sponsorship support.
The California Wireless Association (CALWA) organizes the event every year, called the CALWA Annual So-Cal Charity Golf Tournament. The event also includes a dinner and an awards presentation.
All participants must be a sponsor or part of a business or corporation that has purchased a sponsorship package.
Sponsorships range from a Hole Sponsor at $1,750 to a title sponsor at $10,000. The title sponsor gets to invite 12 golfers, gets prominent logo display on all event signage and banner printing, as well as a verbal shout-out during the awards ceremony.
Proceeds from the event will go to two charities, Warriors4Wireless and the Tower Family Foundation.
Warriors4Wireless is a nonprofit organization that trains military veterans for jobs in the wireless industry and connects them with potential employers. The Tower Family Foundation supports the families of tower workers who have been injured on the job.
The CALWA Annual So-Cal Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 22 with a shotgun start at 11:00 am at the Arroya Trabuco Golf Club, 26772 Avery Parkway in Mission Viejo, less than five miles from Laguna Niguel, just east of the San Diego Freeway (I-5).
