Laguna Niguel wine lovers will be pleased to know that one of California’s largest wine festivals is returning to a nearby venue.
The California Wine Festival - Orange County is a two-day wine event featuring an upscale, exclusive tasting of some of California’s top-shelf vintages, and a larger, beachside event with hundreds of wines to sample.
The first event is a Sunset Rare and Reserve Tasting, where attendees in their most elegant resort attire will be treated to some rare trophy wines. This is for true wine connoisseurs.
The second event is a beachside festival under a tent housing hundreds of wines to sample, as well as craft beers, and a wide variety of food including local artisan cheeses and bread, olive oils, and chocolates. Attendees will be entertained with live music throughout the day.

Ticketholders who already purchased tickets for the event in April, which was postponed, can use their tickets for this event. Tickets include all food and wine tasting, and a free wine glass to take home as a souvenir.
The California Wine Festival is scheduled to take place Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29. Friday’s event is at 6:30 pm at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott, 25135 Park Lantern in Dana Point. The Saturday event takes place between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm at Lantern Bay Park, 25111 Park Lantern in Dana Point, about a five-mile drive south of Laguna Niguel on the Crown Valley Parkway.
