Chula Vista businesses hope local shoppers will remember to keep it local this holiday season.
The City of Chula Vista has launched a new campaign aimed at supporting locally owned small businesses. Called “We Built This,” it comprises a new website and social media campaign.
Chula Vista Mayor Mary Casillas Salas recently told the Times of San Diego that the campaign sends an important message:
“It’s crucial for our community to embrace and support our local businesses now, more than ever before, by shopping local throughout the holiday season and beyond.”
The website provides visitors with a directory of the many shops, hotels, restaurants and markets of Chula Vista.
Besides showcasing and promoting local small businesses, the new campaign also promotes many of the lifestyle advantages Chula Vista offers, such as good education, innovation, the arts, outdoor activities, and new developments on the waterfront. This part of the campaign is meant to instill a sense of community ownership and pride.
The website includes videos profiling local businesses and their owners, what they provide, and why they have chosen to call Chula Vista home.
Campaigns such as this one can use Print shops for flyer and poster printing to advertise in various stores and restaurants.
The City of Chula Vista has just launched the campaign and it will continue into 2021.
