Professionals associated with the maritime community will soon be attending a four-day multidisciplinary event designed to highlight the most recent trends throughout the industry.
The 2026 Annual Conference on Sail Training and Tall Ships is now in its 53rd year. Over time, the topics have evolved in keeping with technological advancements. Some subjects expected to be covered include environmental concerns, crew management, basic training methodology, safety while at sea, and media relations.
Another facet of this seminar is associated with how modern sailors can preserve maritime traditions that have existed for hundreds of years. These are particularly relevant when referring to tall ships, and their relationship to the West Coast maritime sector.
Events such as this will often encourage attendees to network with one another. Some of the approaches guests may choose to employ include business card printing services, social media updates, and exchanging basic contact information. The goal is to ensure that everyone has a chance to actively participate.
The event is taking place between Sunday, February 8 and Tuesday, February 11. All events will be held at the Elite Athlete Training Center at 2800 Olympic Parkway. Doors open at 1:00 PM, and each day will conclude at 5:00 PM. Ticket prices begin at $348.65 per person. Parking is free and refunds are available up to seven days before the event.
