Chula Vista is home to a sizeable Latin American population, and this is one of the reasons why specific holidays particularly resonate throughout the community. The annual Day of the Dead celebration is one example.
Otherwise known in Spanish as Dia de los Muertos, this event allows visitors to dress up in spooky costumes, to enjoy live musical performances, and to sample a host of unique Latin American foods. While some will associate Dia de los Muertos with Halloween, it is actually intended to recognize All Saints' Day.
Notwithstanding the costumes, the fifth annual Día de los Muertos Celebration provides many additional on-site attractions. Guests can participate in raffles, a car show will be offered, children may participate in arts and crafts activities, and adults can visit the kiosks of local vendors.

The fifth annual Chula Vista Día de los Muertos Celebration will be held on Saturday, November 1st from 3 PM to 8 PM. Similar to previous events, there is no charge to attend.
