Some of the best street dancers in the Chula Vista and San Diego area will be bustin' a move at the Culture of 4 San Diego Hip Hop Cultural and Street Dance Festival in Chula Vista this summer.
The one-day event is a professional break-dancing competition that invites all aspects of street dance: street dancers, breakers and children. It's an all ages, family friendly event.
Live DJ's will be churning out the music for the dancers. Competitions include 2-vs-2 Open Style, 2-vs-2 Pro Breaking, 1-vs-1 Kids Open Styles (14 and under) and 1-vs-1 Kids Breaking (14 and under).
Besides the music and dancing, there will be food and product vendors and a graffiti art gallery.
The event is looking for sponsors, vendors and volunteers. Events such as this one can use Print shops for programs, Signs, and sponsorship Banners.
The event is sanctioned by the Urban Dance and Educational Foundation. According to its website the mission of UDEF is to promote breaking as an economic opportunity and job creator for competitors and event organizers
Tickets are $20. Ages 3-10 is $10, Children under 3 are free.
The Culture of 4 San Diego Cultural and Street Dance Festival is scheduled to take place Saturday, June 13 from noon to 8 p.m. at MAAC Community Charter School, 1385 Third Avenue in Chula Vista.
