Lemons to take center stage in Chula Vista festival

At one time, lemons played a starring role in the economy of the Chula Vista area, and an upcoming festival will celebrate this historical connection.

The city will soon see the return of its annual Lemon Festival, which has come to be a real community builder. The fun will be on offer in its downtown core, and all ages are welcome.

Plans for the day will include music to keep the crowd’s toes tapping, and the kids can enjoy the lemon-themed activities planned with them in mind. Food, an art and crafts vendor alley, and an assortment of competitions are all on the agenda.

While they visit the festival, residents have been invited to stop by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department display. While there, they will be able to learn more about the organization and its recruitment process, and they can also direct any questions they have to officials.

Locally focused events like this give communities an opportunity to come together in a fun environment. Banner printing services for a special occasion will be available at a professional Print shop.

The city of Chula Vista will be celebrating its agricultural heritage with this community celebration planned for Saturday, August 12. It will run from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at Third Avenue in the city’s downtown.
