Chula Vista residents invited to show support for the bay

Chula Vista nature lovers and those who enjoy gourmet dishes alike may wish to make plans now to attend an event that will combine these two areas into one big fundraiser for the bay.

The 2017 Farm to Bay event will be back for its 8th year. Its priority is to both raise funds and also to educate people about coastal wildlife and the threats it faces. The focus of the day will also be on sustainability, and one of its goals is for the event to be zero waste. A local printing services supplier can craft recyclable decorations and other items for a function such as this.

Those who take part in the fundraiser will be able to sample the offerings of more than 40 different beverage and food partners, and everything from gourmet hors d’ouvres to local wines and craft beers will be available. There will also be time for them to meet some of the wildlife that shares the San Diego area, including hawks, owls, rays, and reptiles. Along with all of this, there will be an auction, live entertainment and some surprises that are not to be revealed until they are about to begin.

This event will be held in the Living Coast Discovery Center on August 5. Both additional information and a link to purchase tickets can be found on the facility’s website.
