Runners will be lighting up the night when they take to the streets at the Chula Vista Halloween Glow Run.
The run is a fun, untimed, Halloween-themed event that takes hundreds of runners and walkers of all experience levels through the Rohr Park jogging path. What sets this run apart from others is that it takes place at night.
The registration fee is $20. Children two and under are free. Many participants get into the spooky spirit of the run and dress up in fun costumes. The run is limited to 400 people. There is no registration the day of the event, so those who want to join the race need to register beforehand online or at any Chula Vista recreation center.
Besides the 5K run, there are food trucks, a vendor fair, and entertainment for children. All participants get a swag bag full of glow-in-the-dark toys including glowsticks to light their way, a free shirt and a custom racers’ bib.

The 2019 Chula Vista Halloween Glow Run takes place Friday, October 25 at the Chula Vista Golf Course, 4475 Bonita Rd. Check-in starts at 5:00 pm and the race begins at 6:00 pm.
There is also an early check-in one week before the run on Friday, October 18 at the golf course from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.
