Chula Vista invited to enjoy a taste of the Philippines

The culture of the Philippines will be taking center stage during an upcoming Chula Vista area event, and everyone is invited to be a part of the celebration.

The PASCAT Philippine Performing Arts Company will be taking San Diego’s Celebration Hall and converting it to a large scale Parol Village. It will be an event of light and sound, with lots to enjoy for all ages.

Attendees at the event will be invited to take in performances that showcase Filipino culture and traditions. There will be music and dancing, with several guest artists set to take to the stage. The public can try their hand at crafting a star lantern, also known as a ‘Parol’, and there will be a big display of these created both in the local area and in the Philippines as well.

The planners of the function remarked that last year, it was able to attract between 400 and 500 people, and this year, they are hoping it will be even bigger. An area printer can use graphic design techniques to prepare an assortment of marketing materials for an occasion like this, allowing them to blend in well with the overall theme of the function.

The Joe and Vi Jacobs Center’s Celebration Hall, which is located at 404 Euclid Avenue, has been chosen as the venue for this cultural celebration. It is scheduled to start at 2:00 pm.
