The biggest fundraiser of the year for a nonprofit marine conservation organization is turning 10 years old this weekend.
Farm To Bay takes place this Saturday in Chula Vista. The event brings together wineries, breweries, and restaurants for a day of culinary fun – accompanied by live music and up-close and personal animal encounters.
The event raises money for the Living Coast Discovery Center on the Sweetwater Marsh Unit of the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge. It is a group devoted to protecting and conserving wildlife in the area around San Diego Bay. A full 100% of the money raised at this event goes to its conservation, education, and sustainability programs.
Last year’s event raised more than $110,000. Plus, Farm To Bay is a “zero-waste” event, meaning that more than 90% of the waste produced at the event was diverted from local landfills.
Such events are an opportunity for local businesses to showcase their products to an engaged audience. By using Business Cards, brochure printing, and Promotional Products, partners in the event can raise awareness of their brands.
Tickets are $100 each, and there are discounts for multiple ticket purchases. Attendees need to be 21 years-old and will require identification to enter.
Farm To Bay takes place this Saturday, August 3, at the Living Coast Discovery Centre, 1000 Gunpowder Point Dr. in Chula Vista from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
