An event will soon celebrate the feathered friends that call the Chula Vista area home, and this annual activity will have plenty to offer birders and the general public as well.
The annual San Diego Bird Festival , which is a production of the San Diego chapter of the Audubon Society, will give everyone a chance to learn how they can take on a stewardship role when it comes to the environment. It will be held in the Marina Village Conference Center, and there will be five days of learning, planning, and getting to know other nature lovers.
The agenda for the conference includes lectures from a variety of keynote speakers and other subject matter experts, and workshops will be offered as well. Both land-based and pelagic excursions will bring birders to the field so they can put their skills into practice, and with some luck, they may even see a “lifer” to add to their personal list.
