The healthcare field is constantly changing as new life-saving techniques are developed, and Chula Vista medical professionals will soon be offered an opportunity to add to their personal skillset.
Sharp Chula Vista Medical will be running a class that will teach the importance of “proning” a patient who is in respiratory distress. Its listing explained that this is especially valuable when working with Covid patients, and the session will be a hands-on activity for the participants.
The students will gain experience in using the Rotoprone bed, and nurses who work in the ICU may find it helpful. The session will include a review of acute respiratory distress syndrome, as well as its pathology and treatment choices, and everyone will be able to get experience in patient positioning. Research that discusses the benefits of these treatments is on the agenda, and the attendees will walk away with a toolkit of knowledge they can draw on in their professional life.
